Get a bag of candy, the kind of yellow, orange and white. Get a bag of M & M's mulitcolored. Count how many of each color started by M & M's. Dump all together and mix in a shallow container, such as 9x13 cake pan. After the students a small number of M & M's 3 to choose, move the box around. After everyone has chosen, the number of each color of M & M's count again. There will be less red, blue and green but not yellow and orange. The reason is that the camoflauge yellow and orange candy. Thus, yellow and orange would be the "natural selection" because its blend with their environment.

Do not tell kids to do in advance what you do. Onlythey have to collect candy.
